NDU Local LoginNDU Local Login

After all hardware has been connected, switch the NDU on by pressing the front panel power button. The NDU monitor should display the typical PC boot dialog and then the Linux boot dialog.

After the Linux boot has completed, a login prompt should be displayed: ndu Login:.

Type "root" (without the quotes and no uppercase letters) for the initial login. Press the Enter key. You will be prompted for a password. Type "acmndu" (without the quotes no uppercase letters) and press the Enter

key. This will produce a Linux command line prompt: [root@NDU root#]. Now type "startx" (without the quotes and no uppercase letters) and press the

Enter key. This will launch the "Windows-like" KDE Desktop. Verify that the mouse is functional by moving it and observing that the mouse

pointer moves appropriately on the display. Put the mouse pointer on the Netscape browser icon (looks like a ship's steering wheel, located in the bottom middle quadrant of the screen) and press the mouse left button to launch Netscape.

The browser should automatically redirect to 192.168.0.1, display the EAS/ACM Gateway Page and then the NDU Login Page. If the browser does not redirect automatically type "192.168.0 .1" (without the quotes) in the browser address box and press Enter.

You then need to login again on the NDU login page. Type "Admin" (without the quotes, uppercase A and remaining letters lower case) as the default user name, and "acmndu" (without the quotes no uppercase letters) as the password. Put the mouse pointer on the login button and press the left mouse button. You can now proceed to configure the NDU.
