Sub: Countel'"signing of School leaving Certificate.

Direction was issued vide this office Circular No. DE.IS (32)/Act-1/2014/23274-23280. dated 29-04-2014 to all Zonal Education Officers/DeputyEducation Officers of this Directorate to' countersign the School LeavingCertificate for the students passlnq out "in the academic session 2013-14 fromthe schools which were granted .provisional recognition up to Class vth (PrimaryLevel) under the RTE Act, 2009 by ttus Directorate. The said direction was madeapplicable for the academic session 2014-15 vide Circular No. DE.1S (32)/Act-1/2015/274-279 dated 17-04-2015. (Copies enclosed)

It has come to the notice of the department that local bodies (All DelhiMunicipal Corporations/NDMC/Delhi Cantonment Board) are still refusing tocountersign the School Leaving Certificates of the students passing out theschools provisionally recognized up to Primary level by this Directorate.

Therefore, .In view of the interest of continued education of childrenstudying in such schools, the directions contained in the circular dated 29-04-2014 shall continue for the academic session 2015-16.

This issues with the prior approval of Competent Authority. ,
