ValveLink™ Software Signature SeriesPerformance TestingValveLink Software Signature Series factory-executedperformance testing is available for any Fisher™ controlvalve assembly that includes a FIELDVUE™ digital valvecontroller.

Signature Series performance testing creates abenchmark of an assembled valve's performance justprior to shipment. This benchmark provides a startingpoint for future data comparison, enabling you totrack the operating condition of your control valve andmaximize valve performance.

When ordered with your FIELDVUE equipped controlvalve, our factory uses the diagnostic capability ofValveLink software to thoroughly test each valveassembly.

Test LevelsThree levels of Signature Series tests are available, witheach level providing valuable diagnostic data. Whenyou order a Signature Series test, you will receive thetest results electronically from your Emerson salesoffice or Local Business Partner.

Signature Series 1

Within the Signature Series 1 test level, you receive:

� Instrument Configuration

� Status Monitor (@50% travel)

� Valve Spec Sheet

� Valve Signature, as recorded from -5 to 105% input.

� Dynamic Error Band Curve, as recorded from -5 to 105% input

� Drive Signal, as recorded from -5 to 105% input

Signature Series 2In addition to Signature Series 1 information, youreceive:

� Performance Step Test

� Status Monitor (0, 25, 50, 75, 100% travel)

Signature Series 3Series 3 testing provides user specified Series 1 and 2tests and allows customization of end points or scantimes. This capability lets you tailor the testing to yourspecific requirements or process needs.

Signature Series 3 with Dead Bandplus HysteresisProvides user specifications from Series 1, 2, 3, andDead Band plus Hysteresis estimation per dead bandspecifications. Data ComparisonIf your control valve is equipped with a FIELDVUEinstrument that includes diagnostic capability, afterthe valve has been in service you can use ValveLinkSoftware to run the same tests that were originally runat the factory. Then, by importing the Signature Seriesdata into ValveLink Software, you can compare theas‐shipped performance with the valve's currentoperating condition. The current data can becompared to the baseline data to quickly pinpointissues, as shown in figure 1.
