GENERALVVARRANTVMueller Co. warrants its products to be free of defects in workmanship and material undernormal use and service and when used for the purposes and under the conditions for whichthey are intended, for a period of one year from the date of shipment.

Obligation under this warranty is limited, at Mueller's option; to adjust, repair or replace, F.O.B.point of manufacture, the defective product. Purchaser must immediately notify Mueller Co. inwriting of the claimed defect. Mueller shall have the right to inspect said product and purchasershall, if requested, return the defective product to Mueller Co. with transportation prepaid.Purchaser shall assume all responsibility and expense for removal and reinstallation and freightcharges in connection with the foregoing remedy. Mueller Co. shall not be liable for indirect,special, incidental or consequential damage or penalties and does not assume any liability ofpurchaser to others, or to anyone for injury to persons or property. This warranty is in lieu of allother warranties, expressed and implied including the warranty of merchantability.

Any claims or shortages or damages must be in writing within ten days after receipt ofshipment. Buyer shall note loss or damage on truck shipments by providing a delivery receiptsigned by the driver.

II DESCRIPTION

2.1 Modification

The only change between the currently FM Approved J4040 and J4060 Wet Barrel Hydrantsdiscussed in this Report and those discussed in previous Approval Reports for these products shownbelow is the addition of a 5 inch Storz pumper nozzle.

2.2 Rated Working Pressure

The rated working pressure of the Model J4040 and J4060 Wet Barrel Fire Hydrant discussed in thisReport shall be 200 psi (1380 kPa).

m EXAMINATIONS AND TESTS

3.1 This examination was limited to a desk review.

3.2 Hydrostatic testing of the hydrants with the 5 inch Storz threadless pumper nozzle was not deemednecessary due to the similarities between those tested under U.S. Pipe Valve and Hydrant P.1.3033323, and that submitted for this examination. Mueller Company allowed FM Approvalspermission to use the data obtained in P.1. 3033323, in making this determination.

3.3 Because the internal diameter of the 5 inch threadless Storz nozzle is greater than the currentlyApproved 4 inch threaded nozzles discussed in the projects shown above, no friction loss testing wasdeemed necessary.

The following information appears on the apparatus identified in Section 1.5 and meets Standardrequirements:

The manufacturing site at 956 Industrial Blvd. Albertville, AL. 35950, is subject to follow-up auditinspections. The facilities and quality control procedures in place have been found to be satisfactory tomanufacture product identical to that examined and tested as described in this report.

Documentation considered critical to this Approval is on file at FM Approvals and listed in theDocumentation File, Section VIII of this report. No changes of any nature shall be implementedunless notice of the proposed change has been given and written authorization obtained from FMApprovals. The Approved Product Revision Report, Form 797, shall be forwarded to FM Approvalsas notice of proposed changes.

IX CONCLUSION

The James Jones Model J4040 and J4060 Wet Barrel Hydrants with the 5 inch Storz threadlessnozzle described in section 2.1 of this Report meet FM Approval requirements, at a workingpressure of200 psi (1380 kPa.) Since a duly signed Master Agreement is on file, Approval iseffective as of the date ofthis signed Approval Report.
