This half term as part of our Religious Education curriculum all Year One children visited our local

Church, St Anselm’s. The children met the Church

Vicar, Father Geoffrey, who is also our school

governor.

Father Geoffrey showed the children around the

church pointing out the key features of the building

and read them the Christmas story.

Our children, as always, represented our school

positively. Father Geoffrey sent the school an email

after the visit and he had this to say, “Their behaviour

was a credit to themselves and the school.”

KS1 and Reception had an exciting start to the Christmas season with a performance of The Selfish Giant by Image Theatre Company. First, the children were taught the songs and actions by Dimitri, Joe and Rose, and then after a short break, watched the show.
