What Oracle Say About The Future of PeopleSoft

As long as PeopleSoft is still generating cashflow, Oracle has intention to keep it up and stay competitive with the ERP market.

Last year, Oracle had 100+ new PeopleSoft customers.

PeopleTools & PIA

• PeopleTools is a comprehensive application development platform with many features includes standards-based integration, robust reporting and analytics, security model, UI features, administrative tools, and lifecycle management tools.

• PeopleSoft Internet Architecture enables you to take advantage of all PeopleSoft intranet and internet solutions, as well as PeopleSoft integration technologies such as PeopleSoft Integration Broker.

Mobile Application Platform (MAP)

• Fluid UI or mobile ready application is now available in PeopleTools 8.54.

• The PeopleSoft Mobile Application Platform enables developers to build applications that provide a completely different experience than those built using traditional PeopleTools components and pages. Applications built with MAP can include media queries that allow applications to scale from smartphones to mini-tablets to full-size tablets and that adjust the user interface for the device perspective that is being used. The framework allows you to develop applications with touch interfaces that look and operate similarly to native interfaces on mobile devices. -Oracle

PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM)• PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) is a new Lifecycle Management process

aimed to help customers stay current on application patching and lower the cost of application maintenance. It’s only available for PeopleSoft 9.2 applications, so if your PeopleSoft application is currently not on 9.2 version, you would need to upgrade to utilize this feature.
