Grading vs. Value

• Grading is really a shorthand method of valuation

• Coins and currency in better condition are almost always worth more

• Dr. William Sheldon in Penny Whimsy attempted to make equal increments in value 1-70.

• A coin that rated a 12 would be 6 times more valuable than that of a coin rating a 2
