Theme In Poetry
Theme is the point a writer is trying to make about a
subject. The theme tells what the whole poem is about.Poetry can be the mouthpiece of our feelings
even our minds are speechless with grief or joy
Theme in Poem
Poetry is often full of ideasThe idea in a poem is only part of the total
experience that it communicates. The value and worth of the poem are
determined by the value of total experience, not by the truth or the nobility of the idea itself
Theme In Poem
Poetry sometimes can be powerful experiences of the mind
About how people FEEL rather than how people THINK
Poetry tries, and it often captures exactly the shade of emotion that feels just right to the reader.

Descriptive words
Theme in A Poem
Theme in a poem is not exactly like the in the others literary works.
To look for the theme we have to find the central thought
To find the central thought we have to paraphrase the poem
Find the denotative and the connotative interpretation
A Red, Red RoseO, my luve’s like a red, red roseThat’s newly sprung in June.O, my luve is like the melodieThat sweetly played in tune
As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,So deep in luve am IAnd I will luve thee still, my dearTill a’ the seas gang dry
Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,And the rocks melt wi’ the sunAnd I will luve thee still, my dear,While the sands o’life shall run
And fare thee weel, my only luveAnd fare thee weel a whileAnd I will come again, my luveThough it were ten thousand mile
Robert Burns 1796
The Sick Rose
O rose, thou art sickThe invisible wormThat flies in the nightIn the howling storm
Has found out thy bedOf crimson joyAnd his dark secret loveDoes thy life destroy
William Blake 1794
