Vacation-Ready Itinerary

Snowmass, Colorado

4:00pm: Check into your vacation rental home and get settled! Get the lay of the land before heading out to explore the area.

6:00pm: Head to The Artisan and introduce your taste buds to the local fare. Insider Tip: Order the Rotisserie Lamb Tacos for an appetizer and Ruby Red Trout for an entrée.

8:00pm: Return to your rental for an early night – tomorrow, the real fun begins!

DAY ONE

DAY TWO8:00am: Whip up a family breakfast and chat about the activities you’re most excited for, as you dine in-rental. A fresh veggie egg wrap is a great choice: quick, easy and sustaining.

9:30am: Pack up the family and head out for a morning hike. Check out some trail descriptions to pick one that’s right for everyone’s ability level.

12:00pm: After working up an appetite, grab some lunch at Big Hoss Grill.

Insider Tip: Order a juicy burger – you earned it!

1:30pm: Head to Snowmass Village for some shopping. Browse the local boutiques offering Rocky Mountain and western artwork, t-shirts, jewelry and more.

4:00pm: Time to wrap up your afternoon shopping and head back to the rental to clean up and get ready for dinner!

6:00pm: For your second dinner on the town, the authentic Italian fare at Il Poggio is a great choice.

8:00pm: Big meals are sure to put everyone in a cozy state of mind, so cuddle up in your rental’s living room to enjoy your favorite movie together. Make sure you grab some popcorn at the grocery store on your way in!

DAY THREE8:00am: Start the day off with a breakfast with a kick. Try out the traditional Mexican breakfast of Huevos Rancheros to get you ready for a day of adventure. Food Network has an easy recipe – one you’ll likely never want to stray from.

9:30am: Try your hand at one of the fastest growing sports with a round of disc golf at Snowmass Mountain.

Insider Tip: Snowmass Base Village offers the world’s highest official course!

1:30pm: Return to your rental and whip up a late lunch. Sandwiches are an easy meal to prep and clean.

Insider Tip: Stock up on lunchmeat, rotisserie chicken or greens for fast sandwiches and salads.

3:00pm: Pack up the kids, grab a good book and head out to the pool, if your rental has access to one, to soak up some afternoon sun!

6:00pm: For dinner, visit Home Team BBQ and indulge in some comfort food and South Carolina-style BBQ – you can’t go wrong!

8:00pm: When everyone’s full from a delicious meal, leave the kids with the grandparents back at the rental and head to Turks for some live music and tasty drinks.

DAY FOUR7:00am: Prepare quick breakfast parfaits of fresh fruit, yogurt and granola in your rental to get everyone ready for a full morning of outdoor activities.

8:00am: Head over to Blazing Adventures in Snowmass Village for a half-day Backcountry Jeep Tour. It’s a great way to get away from it all, so sit back and enjoy a ride through the mountains with breathtaking views that go on forever.

12:30pm: From Snowmass Village, take a free ride on the Sky Cab down to Base Village to grab lunch at Base Camp Bar and Grill.

1:30pm: Stroll along the plaza in Base Village and visit some of the shops that offer a wide selection of baseball caps, t-shirts and the perfect Snowmass souvenirs.

8:00pm: For some after-dinner entertainment, head into Aspen and catch a movie at Metropolitan Isis Theater.

3:00pm: After a full day of fun, it’s probably time to unwind on the couch or enjoy some ZZZs on the balcony or deck before dinner. Spend an extra hour pampering yourself before a great night in!

6:30pm: Prepare an amazing dinner in thanks to your fully-equipped kitchen.

Insider Tip: If your rental has a grill too, throw on steaks or chicken and create some delicious side dishes inside.

DAY FIVE7:00am: Start your morning with a toasted bagel with cream cheese and a few slices of fresh Colorado peach on the side. Enjoy it on your rental’s balcony or deck and take in that fresh mountain air.

8:00am: Get everyone ready and embark on a new kind of adventure. See our friends at Blazing Adventures again, this time for a thrilling morning of whitewater rafting the whole family will love!

2:00pm: After your whitewater rafting adventure, rest up and have an afternoon snack of crackers, cheese and fresh fruit right in your rental. Catch up on a good book or sneak in a nap.

5:00pm: Head to Slopeside Lanes for an evening of dinner and entertainment. They have bowling, pool tables, foosball, air hockey, and a menu that features pizzas, burgers and a wide selection of beer.

Insider Tip: Call and reserve a lane the day before to make life easy.

8:00pm: After some good eats and friendly competition, head back to the rental and slip on your swimsuits for an evening dip in the pool or hot tub.

DAY SIX8:00am: Your last full day in the mountains calls for a big breakfast, so drive on over to Aspen Over Easy to get your fill.

Insider Tip: Order eggs benedict or a delicious crepe and wash it down with some fresh roasted coffee.

10:00am: Purchase some sightseeing tickets and ride the Silver Queen Gondola up to the top of Aspen Mountain with the family. Once you reach the summit, enjoy 360-degree views that seem to go on forever and take a short hike.

Insider Tip: They have lawn games and free kids activities to keep the little ones happy all morning long.

12:30pm: Enjoy lunch at The Sundeck right there atop Aspen Mountain. They’re known for the best made-to-order stir-fry dishes in town, so dig in!

2:00pm: Ride the gondola back down to Aspen and do some shopping in the Pedestrian Mall. Aspen is home to haute couture retailers like Gucci and Christian Dior, and local boutiques with great souvenirs, if you’re still on the hunt.

4:30pm: Before your last vacation dinner, get ready back at your rental, and enjoy some happy hour time on the balcony or patio. Whip up summer cocktails, Shirley Temples and a cheese tray and enjoy the beautiful mountain views.

6:00pm: Make dinner special at Eight K. This refined Snowmass restaurant features high-mountain cuisine with southern roots, in a sophisticated mountain setting.

8:30pm: After a decadent dinner, return to your rental, slip on your PJs and have a family game night!

DAY SEVEN7:30am Sadly, the day has come to leave Snowmass. But don’t fret! The fun is far from over. It’s time to whip up all the breakfast food that’s left in the fridge and get ready for the day.

8:30am Once you clear out the kitchen, bring the kids to the pool and wear them out before the drive or flight back home.

10:00am It’s time to clean up, pack up and check out of your rental. Don’t forget to double-check underneath the sofas and beds for personal items!
