U.S. EMBASSY VACANCY Systems Administrator
The U.S. Embassy is currently accepting applications for the position of the Systems Administrator. The
incumbent serves as a computer Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and Systems
Operator/Administrator/ Analyst/Programmer and Developer. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of over 70 unclassified
computer systems for the U.S. Embassy in Port Louis and other agencies within the Embassy framework.
Incumbents provides assistance to users of information management services, including
configuring and optimizing software, train users in the use of new software applications; improve and support connectivity with U.S. Government foreign affairs partner agencies. Qualified applicants must hold a High School Certificate and at least three of the following certifications : Comptia A+, Network+, Security +, MCSA, MCP W/Exchange or SQL, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP. At least four years of experience in a
technical position with emphasis on LAN operations, and /or management of computer systems and /or webpage SharePoint development. Incumbent must
have experience with Microsoft products and applications, mobile phone operations to include
Blackberry or iPhone or android operating systems. Applicants must possess a good working knowledge of English and French (speaking, writing and reading).
Good training skills to be able to train users on Microsoft Office products. Additionally,
qualified applicants must be able to pass a background suitability screening. Interested
