A SUMMER OF PRAYER - Our church is entering into a season of discernment. First and foremost, we are seeking God’s will for our ministry and mission. We believe God has good things in store for our church in the days ahead, and we want to be open to God’s calling for our church’s life. Secondly, we are beginning to look again at how we might better utilize our building for God’s purposes. We are revisiting the aims of our previous building project, Vision 2020, in order to discover where God might be leading us for this new day. Prayer guides are available at the Welcome Centers.

PRESCHOOL & CHILDREN
PENTECOST - The Pentecost Banner was decorated by Sugar Land Kids. The origami doves symbolize the coming of the Holy Spirit. Thank you, SLBC Kids, for enriching our worship today with your artwork!
H20 @ SLBC is TODAY, 3-5pm, for grades 1-6. Preschoolers are welcome if mom or dad stays, too! Come have lots of fun with friends!
PARENTS NIGHT OUT is Friday, June 14, 6-9pm for infants-grade 5. Cost is $12 for first child; $8 for all additional children in same family. Register at sugarlandbaptist.org.
SLBC KIDS DAY CAMP is July 15-18, 9am-12:30pm, for kids entering PreK - Grade 3. The cost is $40, and registration is online at sugarlandbaptist.org. This year’s theme is “To Mars and Beyond.” We’ll discover that God’s love for us is out of this world!

WORSHIP & ARTS
SUMMER HUMMERS - All are welcome to sing in the choir starting June 30! Come to the Gym at 9:20am on Sundays. All ages, children through senior adults, are invited. No prior experience needed. Just show up!
RECREATION
UPWARD BASKETBALL CAMP is June 17-20 for grades 3-8. Registration cost is $125. Camp for grades 3-5 is from 9am-12pm; camp for grades 6-8 is 1-4pm. To register, email [email protected].

PASTOR’S BROWN BAG BIBLE STUDY using Tim Keller’s book, Prayer: Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God, meets Wednesdays in June and July, 12-1pm, in room 107. Bring your lunch and join Pastor Taylor.

WOMEN IN THE WORD Summer Bible study is “Road Trip - The Faithful Heroes of the Bible” led by Tera Jeffries. Class will meet Wednesdays, July 10, 17, 24, and 31, 9:30-11am. Childcare by reservation. To register for the class, visit sugarlandbaptist.org.
STEPHEN MINISTRY - Stephen Ministers are trained to provide one-to-one care to people experiencing a difficulties in life. They receive 50 hours of training prior to becoming Stephen Ministers. To submit an application to train as a Stephen Minister, visit sugarlandbaptist.org. Training begins in September. For more information, email [email protected].
