OPENING HYMN: Baptized in Water Text: Michael Saward, b.1932, © 1982, The Jubilate Group (admin. by Hope Publishing Company) 1.Baptized in water, Sealed by the Spirit, Cleansed by the blood of Christ our King: Heirs of salvation, Trusting his promise, Faithfully now God's praise we sing. 2. Baptized in water, Sealed by the Spirit, Dead in the tomb with Christ our King: One with his rising, Freed and forgiven, Thankfully now God's praise we sing. 3. Baptized in water, Sealed by the Spirit, Marked with the sign of Christ our King: Born of one Father, We are his children, Joyfully now God's praise we sing. GLORIA: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of goodwill. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God Almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only begotten son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For You alone are the Holy one, You alone are the Lord, You alone are the most high Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the Glory of God the Father, Amen, Amen. RESPONSE: The Lord Will Bless His People Text:Psalm 29, 1-2,3,43,9-10:; © 1963,1993 The Grail , GIA Publication, Inc. Agent ;refrain trans. ©1969,ICEL Music: Michael Guimont, © 1994,GIA Publication, Inc.

The Lord will bless His people with peace. 1. O give the Lord, you children of God, give the Lord glory and power; give the Lord the glory of His name. Adore the

Lord, resplendent and holy. 2. The Lord’s voice resounding on the waters; the Lord on the immensity of waters; the voice of the Lord, full of power,

the voice of the Lord, full of splendor. 3. The God of glory thunders; in his temple they all cry: “Glory!” the Lord sat enthroned over the flood; the Lord sits as

king forever. ALLELUIA. Halle, Halle, Hallelujah CREED (spoken) I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and His kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen. PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS: Almighty Father, You have created us for some definite purpose. Grant us the grace to know the path You have planned for us in this life and to respond with a generous “Yes.” Make our archdiocese, parishes, homes and hearts fruitful ground for Your gift of vocations. May our young people respond to Your call with courage and zeal. Stir among our men a desire and the strength to be good and holy priests. Bless us with consecrated religious and those called to a chaste single life, permanent deacons, and faithful husbands and wives, who are a sign of Christ’s love for His Church. We commend our prayer for vocations to You, Father, through the intercession of Mary our Mother, in the Holy Spirit, through Christ our Lord. Amen. Continued on the next page...

Baptism of the Lord:

Greetings in the name of the Lord:

Today we celebrate the feast of the Baptism of the Lord, which is the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry, and for us, brings a conclusion to the Christmas Season. Jesus received from John the Baptist a baptism of repentance in the Jordan River. Jesus Christ the Son of God who is without sin received this baptism of repentance on behalf of all humanity.

As Jesus began His public ministry with this baptism from John the Baptist, you and I have been baptized into a life of faith in Jesus Christ through the Church. On this feast of the Baptism of the Lord it is good for us to recall when we were baptized into this life of faith. My baptism was November 14

th, 1966 at St. James Church in White Oak, Ohio. When were you baptized?

Yours in Christ:

Fr. Haft

Greetings in the name of the Lord:Father Pancras sent a message of “Thank You” for the people who generously donated to support his missionary work in Mushubi Parish and rehabilitate the parish kitchen. Below is the message that Fr Pancras sent to me. For privacy purposes I did omit the names of individuals that was listed in his message. Each individual that was listed will receive an individual Thank you. Please continue to pray for Father Pancras and his parishioners.Yours in Christ:

Fr. Haft

Dear Father Haft Ronald, it is of my great joy to say Hello to you. I hope you are doing well. I have been following up your great general elections. We are also fine in Mushubi Parish and trying to do our best but with a lot of rains. Please Father, I would like to thank you and these great people who gave me a support to rehabilitate Mushubi Parish’s kitchen. It is because I do not have their E-mails.

Dear friends, allow me to extend many thanks to you. I really appreciated your great support to rehabilitate Mushubi kitchen Father Lambert ULINZWENIMANA transferred all the funds and sent it to me through the account of Diocese and the work of rehabilitation has begun now. Dear friends, the work to be done is so great, and this is due to your helping hand and support and there are other people who have promised me to buy a stove, thank you, thank you so much. As soon as we finish the work to be done, I will send the photos of our Kitchen, I wish everyone a very good advent and a happy Christmas.

Regards,Fr. Pancras EKYENSERIKORA, the Pastor of Mushubi Parish.

For more information, contact Deacon Bob Schroeder at 922-2500, ext. 2031 or at: [email protected] 2021 Catholic Ministries Appeal (CMA) It is time to kick off the 2021 Catholic Ministries Appeal throughout the archdiocese! The CMA is our opportunity each year to support the work of six vital ministries all of which operate right here in our archdiocese. Also, if we exceed our parish goal for the CMA, 50% of our overage comes back to the parish to be used toward a parish ministry that we have selected. Please prayerfully consider supporting this year’s CMA. Your help is needed as we stand with the thousands of people served throughout our archdiocese. For more information or to donate online, please visit www.AOCstewardship.org. Thank you!
