NOTICE OF RACE
1. Place and Date Balatonföldvár, Lake Balaton, Hungary, June, 20 – 22, 2014.
2. Rules
The regatta is governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing 2013–2016 (RRS), the OPTIMIST class rules, the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions.
3. Advertising
Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organising committee.
4. Eligibility
Every participant should be member of his/her national association. Each yacht shall have a valid measurement certificate.
5. Entries
Entries should be sent either by mail:

All entries must be personally confirmed in the Race Office (registration) not later than 19th June, 2014, 8:00 pm. The organisers may accept late entries with double entry fee.
The entry fee is EUR 35 payable in the Race Office upon registration. 6. Sailing Instructions
Sailing Instructions will be at the sailors disposal in the Race Office starting from 5 pm 19th June, 2014.
7. Schedule of races
Nine (9) races scheduled if possible. The start of the first race is scheduled on June 20st, 2014 at 10 am. No warning signal will be made after 3 pm on the last day of the regatta.
8. The course
Optimists will sail the IODA Championship course. 9. Scoring
Low Point System according to Appendix A RRS will apply. Three (3) races required to be completed to constitute a series. When fewer than five (5) races have been completed, a boats series score will be the total of her race scores. If 5 to 7 races are sailed, one discard, if 8 to 9 races, two discards will be allowed.
10. Racing area
Racing area will be on Lake Balaton near Balatonföldvár.

12. Support boats
Every support boat needs registration on Lake Balaton and has to pay 145 €/ boat to the National Transport Authority. The balance of fees and the completed registration form shall be received on or before 15 May, 2014. Please send the registration form (see attachment below) to our e-mail address: [email protected]

13. Insurance Each participating boat, including support boats, shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of € 1.500.000 per event or the equivalent.
