Growth Goals as a Motivator The Fall RIT scores should serve as a benchmark

to determine growth goals for the school year. The Winter MAP Test should serve as checkpoint

for progress being made toward those growth targets made for the Spring. 

Setting growth goals provides motivation to teachers and students.

Goals are more authentic if they are discussed one-on-one with a student throughout the school year to discuss their progress.
