Environmental impact assessments (EIA) in an expanding range of sector including the oil and

gas industry, manufacturing industries (e.g. mineral fertilizers, food processing), infrastructure

(desalination and power plants, roads, airports etc.), ports and harbors, tourism, and

aquaculture in Pakistan. The EIA process requires a review of national and international

legislation, an in-depth understanding of the proposed development, environmentalbaseline studies, impact assessment and the development of an environmental management

plan (EMP) to minimize negative impacts and maximize positive impacts. However more UTEC

Since Pakistan has 18 ecological zones; it supports a variety of animals and plants. There are

5700 species of angiosperms, 21 of gymnosperms, 4500 fungi, 188 of mammals, 668 birds, 177

reptiles, 22 amphibians, 788 marine fish, 198 of fresh water fish, 5000 of insect species and

The Challenges regarding land development and environmental planning are faced not only by

the developed countries, but also by developing and underdeveloped countries. Pakistan isfacing several issues relating to environmental planning or land development to achieve the set
