A spectacular drive awaits in Dead Horse Point State Park, where you’ll witness one of the most amazing views in the west. See the expanse of Canyonlands National Park stretching to the south and the mighty Colorado River 2,000 feet below. This evening finds us in Moab, UT for our two-night stay with an evening meal together at a local restaurant. (B, D)

Day 3 – Arches / Jet Boat Tour on the Colorado RiverThis morning we head to nearby Arches National Park. Learn about the unique geological forces that created the highest concentration of natural arches in the world with over 2,000 named arches. Visit all of the park highlights including Balanced Rock, The Windows and the Delicate Arch Viewpoint. Next, return to Moab with some free time to explore on your own and/or relax. This afternoon we take a Jet Boat Tour on the Colorado River through spectacular red rock canyons. As the sun dips low in the sky, the canyon colors come to life while you learn about the river’s ecosystem, geology and history. After your thrilling ride, enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner served riverside. It will be an experience to remember! (B, D)

Day 4 – Goblin Valley / Capitol Reef / Bryce CanyonAn incredible day awaits as we depart Moab for Goblin Valley State Park. The park features thousands of hoodoos, referred to locally as goblins, which are formations of mushroom-shaped rock pinnacles, some as tall as several yards. It has a feel of being on another planet! Our next stop is at Capitol Reef National Park for sightseeing of ancient petroglyphs, beautiful rock formations, deep canyons and pioneer history. The park was established to protect a 100-mile wrinkle in the earth’s crust call The Waterpocket Fold. In the afternoon, take an incredible drive on one of America’s most spectacular roads, Utah’s Scenic Highway 12 which has been designated as an “All American Road.” Drive up and over Boulder Mountain, reaching altitudes over 9,000 feet with incredible views of Capitol Reef, the Circle Cliffs and the Henry Mountains. Then travel through Grand Staircase – Escalante National Monument, with vast expanses of cream and rose colored Navajo sandstone. There are dramatic cliffs, high mesas, beautiful streams and deep canyons in multi-hued colors across the 1.9 million acre monument. After a wonderful drive, arrive at Bryce Canyon National Park. Mormon settler Ebenezer Bryce, for whom the canyon was named, described it as “a hell of a place to lose a cow.” Enjoy time to visit the best viewpoints and even take an optional hike. After checking-in to your hotel located just outside of the park, we all come together for a fun evening event with western food and entertainment at Ebenezer’s Barn & Grill. (B, D)
