What is Waze?
• World’s largest community-based traffic navigation app

• Goal: Save every user at least 5 minutes on their commute
• Each user is a sensor in the network• “Alerts” reported by users
(accidents, potholes, car in road, icy roadway, etc.)
• “Jams” discovered by Waze based on slow-moving users and alerts
• Data flows back and forth between Waze and users to provide real-time routing updates
