Block 2– Any which way…
Tutorial by Michelle Roberts from CreativeBlonde
Block 2 – 16” x 16” finished size (16 ½ x 16 ½” unfinished)
Please read through all the instructions, before starting your block

Fabric requirements:
3 ¼” x 30” strip from fabric 1
3 ¼” x 30” strip from fabric 2
3 ¼” x 24” strip from fabric 3
3 ¼” x 24” strip from fabric 4
Haberdashery Items
Basic Sewing supplies
Quilting ruler, rotary cutter/scissors
cutting mat
Iron
Let’s get sewing…
Take the two 30” strips, lay them RST (right sides together) and join using ¼” seam allowance, press seam open.
Take the remaining two strips (24”) and sew these together using ¼” seam allowance, press seam open.

Cut five 6” squares from fabrics 1 and 2. Cut four 6” squares from fabrics 3 and 4.
Join block in rows of 3, using alternate blocks as shown below…
Make two of these, and press seams towards the outer edge

Make one of these, pressing seams towards the centre
Sew all three rows togther together to make your block, nesting the seams as you go, press seams open.
Trim block evenly from all sides to create a 16 ½” x 16 ½” block
