Pros- From an Educational Perspective

• Wikis can be generated by anyone. If you feel you have something to share you can share it through a wiki, connecting with other users along the way to build a network.

• Classes can make their own Wikis and link up with other classes, discussing and sharing information back and forth.

• Teachers can use Wikis to provide their students with an online resource for the classroom.

Cons- From An Educational Perspective

• Wikis can be generated by anyone. Content can be added or edited without going through proper academic fact checking channels.

• Many students have become solely dependent on Wikis, especially Wikipedia, weakening their overall research skills.
