USE INSTRUCTIONS
Measuring foreheadtemperature
With the probe cover attached, point the thermometer at the center of the forehead.
Move the thermometer towards the forehead until the probe cover 1-3 cm away from the skin.
Press and release the Measure button. The temperature will be displayed on the screen instantly.
Make sure that the forehead is free of hair and perspiration.

Measuring temperature via eardrum
Gently remove the probe cover to reveal the ear probe.
Insert the ear probe into the ear canal.
Press and release the Measure button. The temperature will be displayed on the screen instantly.
Make sure that the ear canal is straight so that the sensor is in line with the eardrum.

Ear temperaturefor adult
Take off the probe cover, press andrelease the Power button for 1second to power on thethermometer. The symbol “ ” isdisplayed on the screen.
Switch to the adult or childmeasurement mode by pressing theMode button according to yourmeasurement needs.
Insert the temperature probe into aproper position in the ear canal.Press the Measure button to start ameasurement.

Put the cover on the probe, switchto the object measurement mode bypressing the Mode button.Thethermometer enters the Objectmode. The “House” symbol isdisplayed on the screen.
Point the thermometer to the centerof the object. Press and release theMeasure button. The temperaturewill be displayed on the screen.

In Ear mode, a temperature readingof more than 42.0ºC (107.6ºF)
In Forehead mode, a temperaturereading of more than 42.2ºC(108.0ºF)
In Object mode, a temperaturereading of more than 100ºC(212.0ºF)

For referenceonly
In a power-on state, press theMemory button enter the memorymode.
When the Memory button isreleased, 01 will be shown,followed by the recorded reading.
Press the Memory button again forthe next recorded data. 02 will beshown, followed by the recordedreading.
A maximum of 20 temperaturereadings can be recalled.When the maximum number ofrecords is exceeded, the earliestmemory data will be overwritten.
Note:01 means the latest data.

No memory data / Clear memory data
The display is as shown , whenthere is no more data checked whilerecalling memories. Remove 2 drybatteries and after 10 secondsre-install the power to clear allmemory data.
When the power isturned back on,there are a longbeep and a greenbacklight, whichthen turns into red.
In the power-on state, press andhold the sound switch button forabout 2 seconds to switch the soundon or off. When the sound is turnedon, it will beep once and the mutesymbol will be displayed when thesound is off.
The symbol shows up in Mutemode and disappears in Un-mutemode.
When the sound isturned on, itsounds a longbeep and thebacklight isgreen.

The infrared thermometer has been tested and conforms to the standard
ASTM E1965-98. ASTM laboratory accuracy requirements in the display
range of 96.8°F to102.2°F (36°C-39°C) for ear canal IR thermometers is
±0.4°F (±0.2°C). Note that for mercury-in-glass and electronic
thermometers, the requirement per ASTM Standards E667-86 and
E1112-86 is ±0.2°F (±0.1°C).

Storage and Transportation
NOTICE
Please use the thermometer indoor or in an environment where there is no strong air draft.
Make sure that both user and thermometer have stayed in steady-state room condition for at least 30 minutes.
Please wait at least 10 minutes before using the thermome-ter, If the thermometer is transferred from an environment.
Operating environment
Keep sensor clean
Check and clean the lens regularly. If it’s not clear, please clean it with a cotton swab with alcohol, wait 5-10 mins, you can use thermometer after alcohol evaporated completely.
Forehead mode: make sure there isn’t any sweat, water or condensation on it.
Ear mode: please remove earwax, keep the ear canal clean.
Keep forehead/ear clean
Don’t move during measurement.
Don’t hold the thermometer for long time as it’s highly sensitive to heat.
Do not repeat use with no pause. If taking multiple readings, it is advised to wait at least 10 seconds between readings.
