The plastic copings for using CPK abutments are fitted a snap mechanism which makes use of the elasticity of the plastic material.

In order for the metal framework to fit on the analog/abutment, the snap mechanism should be removed.

Use a MT-CS450 reamer to remove excess material prior to seating the framework on analogs or abutments.

Insert the abutment analog into the plastic cap (in the impression tray).

* Verify that the analog fits properly.

Laboratory procedure.

Place the wax-up anti-rotation plastic cap on the abutment analog.

* For single tooth restorations, ALWAYS use the red wax-up cap with the anti-rotation mechanism.

For bridges, it is easier to use the white wax-up caps, which do not include an anti-rotation mechanism.

* Cut the plastic cap according to analog height.

Take the impression.

* Recommended impression material: silicone over

20-shore hardness.

Temporary stage

Place the temporary healing cap on top of the abutment, to allow soft tissue healing and prevent irritation by the abutment.

* Use temporary cement.

Procedures recommended by MIS cannot replace the judgment and professional experience of the surgeon.

The CPK is not intended for use with crowns cast directly onto the abutment analog, such as a CAD/CAM or Captek™ process. When using such a process, work directly off the CPK abutment.

Instrument maintenance.

Sterilization: The device must be sterilized before use by autoclave, at a temperature of 134°C (273°F) at a pressure of ≈315 Kpa during 6 minutes. Do not exceed 134ºC during sterilization.

* All parts of the Complete Prosthetic Kits are supplied non-sterile. The plastic components are for single use only.

The Complete Prosthetic Kit (CPK) is a comprehensive set designed for cemented type restorations on single or multiple parallel implants.

■ Compatible with conventional crown and bridge procedures. ■ A selection of lengths, diameters and gingival heights. ■ Can be used immediately after implant placement.■ Offers improved tissue healing.

The CPK includes all required components for the fabrication of cement retained restorations: an abutment, impression cap, comfort cap, casting sleeves and an analog.
