You only need to install DirectX if you are using nntefWindows XP. If you are not using Windows XP, skip to “to install the webcam driver” in the next column.

When the driver is finished installing, a dialog box 5. displays saying the driver has been updated. Click OK.

The main software installation screen displays again.

An 2. InstallShield Wizard dialog box displays. Click Next. Accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next again.

After the application finishes installing, an 3. InstallShield Wizard Complete dialog box displays. Choose to restart your computer and click Finish.

When the computer restarts, reinsert the installation CD 4. and click CrazyTalk Avatar Creator.

An 6. InstallShield Wizard dialog box displays. Click Next. Accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.

After the application finishes installing, an 7. InstallShield Wizard Complete dialog box displays. Clear the check boxes, then click Finish.

The main software installation screen displays again. Click exit.

use your webcamYou can start using your webcam immediately for video conferencing with one of the many video conferencing services available over the internet. Additional features are available through the CrazyTalk Cam Suite software.

advanced featureswebcam effectsClick Start > All Programs > Reallusion > CrazyTalk Cam Suite > CrazyTalk Cam Suite to open the webcam effects software.

CrazyTalk Cam Suite must be open for effects to nntefdisplay.

use an avatarAn avatar is an image you use as your personal representation online. Instead of your face showing, your avatar displays. To use an avatar:

In CrazyTalk Cam Suite, select the 1. Avatar Live! tab.

Choose an avatar.2.

To create a custom avatar, use the included nntefCrazyTalk Avatar Creator application. Click Start > All Programs > Reallusion > CrazyTalk Avatar Creator > CrazyTalk Avatar Creator.

To add a custom avatar to the avatars displayed, click More > Add Avatars. Select the avatar you want to add, then click To Favorites. The new avatar will display, and can be selected for use with your webcam.

To have your avatar display an emotion on video, click 3. the emotion.

turn on facial trackingFacial tracking adjusts your avatar to follow the motion of your face. To turn on facial tracking:

In CrazyTalk Cam Suite, click the 1. Settings button.

The 2. Settings dialog box displays. Select the Avatar Live! tab, then select Face tracking to trigger head movement. Click OK.

In the main CrazyTalk Cam Suite window, select 3. Enable Facial Tracking.

This ensures the picture is not distorted and that the microphone can easily pick up your voice.Turn the ring on the front of the webcam to manually •focus the image.Press the button on top of the webcam to take a still shot.•In CrazyTalk Cam Suite or CrazyTalk Avatar Creator, •click the question mark button for more details on how to use the application with your webcam.
