Barco Media Servers seriesUser-friendly media servers to create spectacular moments

Confidence throughout the entire workflow

From imagination to realization, in the blink of an eye

Whether it’s mesmerizing visuals for a live band, spectacular 3D projection mapping,

thrilling theme park rides or showstoppers at an event or exhibition, media servers

play a pivotal role in many of the most memorable multimedia shows we are seeing

today.

With its latest range of media servers, Barco enables unbridled creativity and intuitive,

easy-to-learn control for the most demanding shows. These fully integrated, visual

production systems enable professionals to easily and confidently develop their show,

from idea to realization. They are the perfect connection between the creative idea

and display systems.

Powerful tools, easy use

Barco media servers provide you with all the tools you need to create epic spectacles. Their unique features cover the entire workflow of video professionals, from design to operation. At the same time, their intuitive controls – such as the automated 3D warping and blending tools – facilitate user-friendly operation, even with multi-screen set-ups.

A half-day training course can make anybody an expert at creating complex 3D projection mappings and sophisticated interactive visualizations without any external assistance, and save significantly on both time and money.

Remote monitoringInteractivity

Remotely monitor, control and synchronize your media players.

Save time by simulating and planning your show before actually setting up. The Projection Study tool makes mapping and positioning your projectors a matter of minutes, and allows you to easily preview and adjust.

Powerful moment managementBarco couples its media server hardware with the X-AgoraTM software suite, which supports connectivity with market standards such as DMX, ArtNet, and CITP. This software is scalable, compatible with popular media formats, supports connectivity with various sensors and input, and makes it possible to deploy content onto the most challenging surfaces with an advanced yet easy-to-use projection mapping tool. Its interactive media system captures and processes data in real-time, thus creating interactive media content for various types of displays.

Get interactive

These days, spectators demand to be immersed and involved in the visual spectacles we provide for them. With Barco media servers, you can control how the theater or event environment reacts to (re-)actions from viewers or spectators, and how it evolves in time. At your disposal is a broad palette of particle effects, shaders and actions that will make your audience part of the show. For fixed installations, several media servers can be linked together and synchronized to the millisecond.

Projection Study tool: ultimate peace of mind

Choosing the right equipment and set-up for a show, a venue or an event can be a delicate task, with little room for error. That’s why the Projection Study tool incorporated in Barco’s media servers allows you to map a building or site and then show the optimal projector set-up locations and lens options in a matter of minutes. Test the entire show before show time and sell ideas to customers before actually building anything. Enable preview and adjustment of both pre-rendered and real-time content by navigating in a 3D virtual environment and deploying it in physical space. The result? Quicker projector set-up and execution, leading to dramatically reduced costs.

Be part of the Jean Paul Gaultier show

At the Jean Paul Gaultier multimedia exhibition in Paris, no effort was spared to immerse visitors into the world of the iconic designer. The Escalier des Arts of the Grand Palais was transformed into a catwalk-like environment, with lights lining the steps and the sounds of cameras flashing. When visitors reached the top of the stairs, they triggered a camera taking snapshot of their silhouettes. On the large-scale backdrop of the staircase landing, an image appeared with their silhouette in trademark Gaultier motifs and palettes. Always in flux, the projection runs in real time and remixed imagery from past visitors with new colors and motifs. The processing power behind this highly original set-up? Barco’s media server, of course!
