Original state

Maintenance management system before deploying CMMS can be cha-racterized as follows:

Managing maintenance in individual, relatively separate organizational cost centres.Disparate normative base for system of maintenance.Computerized maintenance management system only in certain organizational units.Several cost centres without computer support of maintenance.Systems in cost centres could not be linked and used technologies did not enable expansion to a company-wide system.Impossibility of detailed tracking of spent costs and operational management.

Deployment of information system

Benefits of deployment:Unification of normative base for system of maintenance.Scope optimization in maintenance carried out.Scheduling and execution of preventive maintenance.Tracking costs in a uniform structure with the possibility of comparative analyses.Ongoing monitoring of costs and operational management.Integration into company-wide business IS (CODA - economic system).Building information base for decision-making.Providing system integration links to surrounding information systems in operation.

Operational (unplanned) maintenance module

The module addresses operational maintenance of all equipment, which is generated

by the normal operation of equipment.

Preventive (scheduled) maintenance

Preventive maintenance enables to define maintenance plans and

actively work with them, including solving their concurrences

and repair.

Scheduling module Scheduling module enables to

schedule maintenance works to any future periods for individual types of

resources and costs. (The module is used to monitor all tasks, warranties, leases, purchases, expenses, suppliers, etc.)

Registry of equipment and locations (of mainte-

nance objects) moduleModule registry of maintenance objects in itself concentrates functionality tied to equipments and locations, including their

registration and management of their states.

Codelists moduleNormative (codelist) system base.

Jobs (Work procedures) module

Module Jobs concentrates information about execution standards of working

procedures and functions. In practice, it converts the know-how about carried

out activities from workers into a shared electronic form.

Implementation of CMMS included the following modules:

Project benefitsThe implemented IS comprehensively meets the requirements of SčVK in the area of scheduling and maintenance management. In routine operations there are hundreds of users from several departments/sections working with the system.

Main benefits of implementation in the environment of SčVK:IS for support of maintenance work is a functional, modern and maintainable system. It is technologically up-to-date.It is adapted to heterogeneous environment of SčVK - it has a significant integration role.Deployed new modules and functionalities are used extensively, for example competences, WF, data purity, value analysis.Main modules: Operational and Scheduled maintenance, inspections, equipment cards.Attained homogeneity of codelists - especially of locations and equipment.PDA, mobile handhelds.Integration with Request and helpdesk system.

System settings module It serves for customizing system functionality based on the implementation settings:

Management of user access rights, Workflow - defining states and activities for managing processes over assets. Audit of system activities. Timer - settings for periodical triggering

of selected procedures. Document numbering - according to a mask and other parameters. Homogeneity of tree structures. System messages - functionality of sending

e-mail or SMS messages.

Integration interfaces module

In Integration interfaces module there are implemented necessary communication

interfaces for data exchange with the surrounding IS, these interface are adjusted according to individual

requirements of the contracting authority during analytical phase of the project.

Documentation module It is used to manage attached documents,

work procedures and other protocols and procedures on a basic level. It allows to use basics of DMS functionality (save documents, ...) and in case of using other specialized DMS systems the module is

used to communicate with them.

Value analysis moduleIt allows to analyse the data

collected in the system according to the set rules.

Outputs and reports module

Module outputs and reports serves for presenting data in the system. They have a printed form according to the

specific user needs or a form of Excel xls file.

Process management (WorkFlow) module

It controls processes of documents held in the system by applying defined

WorkFlow. It is used to change the status of the WorkFlow and ensures states

consistency of the documents.

Work orders moduleWork orders module guarantees the

functionality related to executive part of the system - from automated

generation of work orders to their manual processing. It uses module

for scheduling closely.
