We started with small scale environment,

Migration of existing site collection was quick and easy

Document permissions have been recognized automatically

Most time required by indexing service

Four different Site Collections with about 20K documents migrated

Cooperation with ChemAxon was great over the years

Competent and professional support

Quick response to our questions

Our feedback is considered by product development

Overall architecture of the product is state of the art and is constantly

improving (e.g. Switch from Java Applet to JavaScript structure editor)

Very positive feedback from operation department

Required updates are delivered in time

Documentation is valuable and helpful

Servers require constant care and attention, stability needs to be improved


JChem4SP – Usage Today

Main feature used is JChem4SP search component:

The possibility to query SharePoint content with a sub-structure search,

adds a lot of value to SharePoint collaborations in R&D

List extensions or integration of chemical structures in rich text fields are not

yet used

Five different site collections are in productive use today

About 200 user have access to CHI4SP platform


JChem4SP – Use Cases

Current

Assisting data exchange between different parts of the Bayer group with

heterogeneous IT-infrastructure

Make external publications by Bayer CropScience authors more efficiently

available internally

Document management of synthetic procedures information and improve

accessibility
