US Sailing Organizational Structure

• Tall Ships Port Festivals – Reach

• Collaborations at the local member vessel and program level, including:

• Sequential programming, to capture kids who age out of community and club sailing programs but who may not be interested in competitive sailing, and direct them into a local tall ships program

• Joint activities, public events, and even fund-raisers, to build community awareness and support for sailing in both small ships and tall ships

• Using local tall ships for committee boat, VIP boat, or press boat service at yacht race starts, etc., adding a new “hook” for the media and sponsors

• Collaborating on seamanship training and classes, on offshore navigation classes and practical experience programs, on voyage planning courses; etc.
