CADETS OF THE DAY
EXPLORATION TRAINING
Cadet Dasher has always wanted to join the
military so he joined the NSCC. “I wanted to
try Exploration and I really love it! We go to
different places and do different things.
Cadet Porch Sanchez loves Exploration because
it gives her insight into other trainings like
today’s exercise with Field Medical. “Shooting
was the best part of training,” she said.
Cadet Cascadden wanted to try new things so
he chose Exploration. “My favorite part of this
training was the Mass Catastrophy drill.”
Cadet Cortez, A always wanted to try new
things and thought Exploration sounded good.
“I love going off base for Exploration and the
training overall.

FIELD MEDICAL TRAINING
CADETS OF THE DAY
PO1 Houlihan joined NLCC because she wanted
to learn about the Navy. “Field Med is very
good. There’s a lot of things I thought we
wouldn’t do. It’s a lot of fun.”
Cadet Omoigui joined NLCC because she
wanted to discover new things. “Field Medical
is pretty good. I like hands-on activities and
informative classes.”
PO2Campbell joined NLCC because it looked
like fun. He likes Field Med because he gets to
learn a lot.
PO3 Hickman said, “I joined NLCC since I
wanted an opportunity to do amazing things.
Field Med is a good training to learn about
everyday life.”
PO2 Elliot joined NLCC since he thought he
needed more discipline. “I would like to be a
Navy Seal when I grow up.”

PHOTOJOURNALISM TRAINING
CADET OF THE DAY
”I’m INST Shannon Ward and this is my very
first NLCC training. I joined the program after
my son enrolled a year ago. I was asked to help
with the Photojournalism training as Division
Officer and I enthusiastically accepted the
challenge. It was a great choice!”
”I’m Cadet T. Nguyen but everyone here calls
me T because there’s 4 Nguyens in
Photojournalism. I chose Photojournalism
because I wasn’t as interested in Medical or
Exploration. I really like taking pictures and
writing.”

NLCC ORIENTATION – PORT
CADETS OF THE DAY
Cadet Nile said that, “The NLCC has taught me
a lot how to be a good, responsible man.”
Cadet Florine said, ”I loved the convoy
simulator along with other amazing things
NLCC has to offer!”
Cadet Haller enjoys the NLCC because he gets
to meet a lot of kids and do interesting things.
“It’s a lot of fun.”
Cadet McCormick said, “I really like the NLCC
Orientation training, but it’s tough.” He’s doing
a great job working hard.
Cadet Nguyen said, “This training has been
hard, fun, but overall life-changing.”

CADETS OF THE DAY
NLCC ORIENTATION – STARBOARD
Cadet Trinh joined the NLCC with 1 of his
cousins a year ago. “I enjoy the challenges of
Orientation and find it enjoyable.”
Cadet Cranfill joined the NLCC with his family.
“Orientation is fun, challenging, and fast-
paced.”
Cadet Ralston joined NLCC with his friend
hoping for a new challenge. “I think this is fun
and challenging.”
Cadet Rybnicek has always been interested in
the Navy, even before seeing an NLCC
battalion. “I love the program because they
feel like family.”
