Member’s Bio BookU.S.

The US Embassy Youth Council (USYC) was created in 2011 by the U.S. Embassy Kathmandu in order to interact directly with Nepal’s youth about the issues that concern them and to encourage young Nepalis to become active in their communities. The USYC is a unique platform for motivated Nepali youths from all walks of life to learn from each other where it serves as a powerful platform for young people to connect with each other in a way that transcends traditional identifiers such as caste, class, religion, professions and regional distinctions.

This year, the USYC 2014 has 53 highly motivated youth from all over Nepal out of which 23 are female members, and the group is vastly diverse in terms of their area of specialization. There are members who bring years of experience – from media to technology; education to politics, sports, health, development and environment.
