DRAUP launched a systematic assessment to analyze the talent-pool characteristics for GE Healthcare, who specified 8 Job Families i.e.Software Engineer, Solutions Architect, UX Designer, DevOps Engineer, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Technical Writer and Technical ProgramManager. Out of 9 locations provided, a comparative analysis for 5 locations was conducted in this version, to benchmark the locationfeasibility using attributes such as Total employed talent pool and quality of the talent, Job openings to understand competitive demandacross peers, Fresh talent pool supply and cost structures across maturity levels.
- More than 60 locations globally were identified as key digital talent hotspots, employing ~13 Million talent
- Our analysis shows the total relevant talent is ~281,550 across the 5 US locations analyzed i.e. Washington DC, Dallas Fort Worth, Greater Boston Area, Greater Austin Area and Greater Los Angeles Area.
- Availability of talent for the 8 job families was highest in Greater Boston Area i.e ~70,660 , while cities like Dallas/Fort Worth Area and Austin-Texas Area have scaled talent presence and low talent cost.
- Greater Boston Area has the highest supply of relevant fresh talent of ~12,000 annual software and computer science graduates.
• Salary Analysis : • Data Scientist and Architects are the highest paid role across all the 5 locations. Washington DC has relatively high paying jobs
compared to Los Angeles and Greater Boston Area.• Technical Writer is the lowest paid role with a median salary of USD 77,400 across the 5 locations analyzed.

Parameters Weightage Description
Talent Availability 30%• No.of installed talent pool in the given roles.• Higher the number of relevant talent pool for 8 roles, higher the favorability
Median Talent Cost 10%• Median salary cost for the given 8 roles• Low talent cost is considered as a positive factor and hence the low cost locations have been ranked higher
Ease of Hiring 25%• Ratio of available talent to no. of job openings (supply-demand ratio) for the given roles• It is derived from Total employed talent pool available (Supply)/ Total number of job openings in last 1 year(Demand) –Thus, High
Supply/Demand ratio is considered as a favorable factor
Fresh Talent Supply 25%• No.of graduates with software and computer science background• Higher the fresh graduates with relevant degree, higher the favorability of location
Infrastructure & Regulatory Cost 5%• Its is a factor of two attributes i.e. business cost and commercial real estate cost• Lower the cost, higher the favorability
Location Characteristics 5%• Its is a factor of two attributes i.e Quality of life (cost of living index, relative to US average), average commute time (one way) and corporate
