Time navigation of Kew Gardens

I wanted like to enhance the visitor experience bychanging the navigation time from morning to nightthrough demonstrating different scenes of Kew tomy audience. Through this project, I was trying toachieve the goal of making an impressive visual ofnight scene of Kew with articial light effects aimedto enhance visitor experience: When they visit atday time, they would also have a chance to seethe night scene and have a contrastive, explorativesensation. This project is grounded in alterable visualexperience and relying on experimental creation,aim to show various aspects of Kew Gardens and Iexperimented of Kew in 2D and 3D aspect and try todemonstrate the different spacial navigation.

I discovered that the scene of Kew is different between day timeand night time then I did this experiment, set the glowing effectplants and others elements in the same conditions only changethe brightness to reveal the day and night conditions.

We are asked to bring an physical letterto the workshop of moving-images andwe used the physical letter to createan short animation. My letter K made ofmoss and glue, in the animation, I drewtriangle to form the letter K as a outlineand a moss object which I put threemoss K together and it looked like acoral grew up from the main letter andI drew the meshed lines let it grew onthe coral object and made an effectof colour change.

I used mirror effect to make the wordtypography and I was trying to makethe word looked like a pattern and Ichanged the reective centre to makemovement, in this short animation,we can see the pattern change in aslow move with a vertical orientationat beginning and the pace increasedby the time and in the end, I tried tomake the movement like a soundrecording pattern.

Story board of pattern word

The narrative story in this animation is a pattern becomes the word typography, at beginning, thelm show moving images of the pattern and then I revert the process of how I made the patternand the end pop up a clear typography word. There are two sort of typeface, one is digital wordI make by illustrator and the other one is I use the clone stamp tool to clone the moss K image in ahand writing way. I also made the sounds for this video, through this process, I found someinteresting things at making sounds to match the animation.

Experiment of contour line

I used the tracing paper and overlapped on the map to draw the contour line by usingdifferent size of pencil and pen,the most like of my three experiments is the pencil one, in mythought, I think the thinnest line can occur the best effect.when the lines went very closed toeach other, I can feel delicate detail and movement between the looseand the close part.

after I done the experiment of the contour line then I did the experimentof the word take something apart, I used the same map image andremove some lines from the contour line map, I drew them one by onetherefore the outcomes changed a little bit at each times and I tried tomake the gure looked like a mirror effect but when you look at themcarefully they are not.

Colour sweets!

colour theory presentation video

My idea is using cupcakes with colourful frosting torepresent the colour theory and make action effectsfor each part and I also add a story which tell thesecupcakes living in a black and white world, one day,a colour wheel suddenly appear on the sky thentheir world starts changed, every cupcakes are veryhappy they get colours on their looking and thenthey have a festival to celebrate their colourcolourful world, to this short video. Through thisproject, I gave myself another assignment aim to

engage with After Effect, I am a beginner forlearning it, for me I found that I am more interestedat making videos.
