A natural soil amendment formed by decomposing
organic materials.
BENEFITS OF COMPOSTING
• Diversion of waste to the landfill
• Addition of organic materials to our land
• Produces beneficial bacteria
• Holds moisture and adds nutrients to soil
• Suppresses plant diseases through heat

EXPAND TO OTHER SCHOOLS IN FEEDER PATTERN/COUNTY
WE BELIEVE THAT…
Responsible citizens need to reduce their waste production.
Schools can help to promote composting by providing students with the opportunity to manage their waste.
We need to be community leaders and teachers so we can have a long-term positive impact on the sustainability of our planet.
