Employer/Title: Development Officer, Goodwin Community
Health
How long have you worked here: 1 year
What is Your Role: I get to build relationships with people in the
community, find out what they are interested in and connect them
to the programs and services at Goodwin that they are passionate
about. I also currently have my hands in grant writing, database
management, event planning, donor advancement, and board
relations.
Tell Us Why You Love Your Job: I am privileged with a front
row seat to see hundreds of our patients lives changed as a result
of donors generosity. Everyone gives to charitable causes for
different reasons and I am interested in each donor’s story about
why they choose to give to Goodwin. I also enjoy working with
our Board of Directors. They are a very dedicated group of
volunteers who provide excellent guidance for the organization.
Lastly, I love that each day requires the application of different
skills. I have gained a broad knowledge base in my short career
about recruiting, marketing, finance, communications, strategic
planning, volunteer management, and event coordination.
Development Officers touch many departments in a non-profit
organization which gives me a unique perspective on business
operations.
Tell Us What You Like About GRYP: Having recently relocated
to the Seacoast, I enjoy meeting other young professionals and
growing my network of friends and colleagues. Rochester appears
to be a tightly knit, supportive community. I look forward to
positively contributing to the city and the group however I can.
To be featured in an upcoming Young Professional On
the Move, simply attend an upcoming meeting and be
entered in to win!

20TH ANNUAL TOY BANK
That time of year is just ahead. We have been planning this year’s
campaign for about a month. The Rochester Fire Department in conjunction
with the Firefighters, local merchants and citizens have made the Christmas
season brighter for many families. Last year we gave out gifts to
approximately 750 infants and children in the week before Christmas. Once
again, we are asking for your help. Here is how you can help:
* Collect new toys within your organization for age groups from
newborn to 14 years old. We are always looking for ideas and
donations for the 11-14 year age group.
* Collect financial contributions within your organization and shop
for gifts.
* You can drop off new unwrapped items at the Rochester Fire
Department at 37 Wakefield Street.
* Monetary contributions can be mailed to: Rochester Fire
Department Toy Bank, c/o Rochester Fire Department,
37 Wakefield Street, Rochester, NH 03867.
* Contact Paul Haggenmiller or Cindi Potts at 335-7545 or email
Cindi at [email protected] for more information.
Thank you in advance for your continued support
