Update on SOCHE Happenings

The beginning of July 2018 marked the one-year anniversary of

the Aerospace Professional Development Center joining the

Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) team.

The relationship is growing stronger every day as we discover new opportunities to build and

populate workforce pathways across the State.

SOCHE is a consortium of 23 regional Colleges and Universities that works to improve collaboration

across the region as well as to provide professional development for college and university staff and

internship opportunities for students locally and from across the country. As a matter of fact, we are

currently hosting hundreds of students in internships across the region that we believe will help

them discern the right pathways for their futures. We always have more students apply than we

have positions available. If your company is interested in interns, in just about any area of study, we

have them available. We can help you with summer interns or with year-long interns.

DAGSI Merger with SOCHE Defense Associated Graduate Student Innovators (DAGSI) has been in existence in the Dayton area since the early 1990s. DAGSI works with the State of Ohio and AFRL to fund defense related research of Masters level and Doctorate level students in Ohio. SOCHE is proud to announce that as of July 1, 2018, DAGSI is now a program within the SOCHE portfolio. SOCHE can now say that they serve students from High School through Post Doctorate!
