Update from ICS Standards CommitteeThe BACCN continues to forge links with the Intensive Care

Society (ICS). Representatives from the BACCN contribute to

clinical standards that the ICS produce.

A number of standards are being uploaded onto the ICS

website:

• renal replacement;

• venous thrombophylaxis;

• management of patients following cardiac arrest.

Work in progress continues within the clinical areas of

• sedation;

• carbon dioxide monitoring;

• monitoring of neuromuscular blockade.
