We read many nonfiction books about apples and plan to write about what we learned on Monday. We sequenced the life cycle of an apple, as well as learned about wants/needs and goods/services. Our favorite book was a fiction story, What’s so terrible about swallowing an apple seed? We worked on rhyming words and learned we can create lots of words from our word family –at. We celebrated Johnny Appleseed’s birthday by reading a biography about him and having an apple snack with apples that possibly came from seeds he planted many years ago!
