Experiencing a Fresh Explosion of Faith
Based on Isaiah 43:10, this study ex-plores what it means to believe God, not just believe in God. Join Beth Moore as she studies the lives of Abraham, Moses,
and others from Hebrews 11 as examples of persons who be-lieved God. Beth encourages women to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh word from Him. Join the Ladies Bi-ble Study on Mondays at 7:00 pm in the Choir Room for this study. Contact Beth Wright for more information—852-5733.

Dear Calvary, many thanks for your prayers and concerns following the death of my cousin.
Pastor Todd
Thank you for the health kits that you provided to the Mid-west Mission Distribution Center in August. These items will help us provide aid to people who are experiencing poverty or other devastating events in their lives. Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated!

Family Ministries sponsors Fall Clothing Drive Give your gently used clothing a second life by donating them to Cal-vary’s Family Ministries Fall Clothing Drive. Clothing of all sizes—from infant through adult—along with gently used shoes and new un-
derwear will be collected and taken to the Clothing Pantry at Northview Christian Church in Danville. The Clothing Pantry provides clothes free to Hendricks County families in need. Extra donations are then given to a local homeless shelter and Wheeler Mission.
Clothing will be collected October 1-18. Simply bag up your dona-tion and leave it at Calvary’s drop-off location in the narthex. If you would like to receive a tax receipt for your donation, you must fill out a donation inventory form, located with the drop box and at the Fam-ily Ministries bulletin board and include the form inside your donation bag. Clothing Pantry staff will sign and return the receipt to you. If you have questions, please call Jeanne Davis at 858-8297

Kahla Snapp Sue Atkinson Award Recipient
Kahla came to Brownsburg in 1959 and has been active in Cal‐vary United Methodist at three different Brownsburg locations.
Since 1980 she has been active in scheduling, preparing, and set‐up of funeral dinners. The majority of the dinners are in Fellowship Hall, however, due to special circumstances some have been taken to different locations on request. Kahla attrib‐utes the success of these funeral dinners to the homemakers at Calvary United Methodist. These women are always ready to prepare and contribute a salad, a dessert or one of their spe‐cialty dishes on short notice. Kahla then completes the meal menu and schedules the necessary help required for set‐up, serving, and clean up.
Kahla has also served as Sunday school teacher (4 year olds) for about 30 years, communion preparer, Bible school teacher for several years and a member of United Methodist Women.
