We made a fact book of either George Washington or Abraham Lincoln. These 2 presidents were very important! So You Want to be President was one of our favorite books and we learned some fun facts about all of the presidents. Our social studies book explained the requirements to be president and how long a presidential term is! We discussed American symbols and learned some facts using a QR code with an I-pad! We learned that the American flag represents our country and that the Liberty Bell, bald eagle, and Statue of Liberty all stand for freedom.
