theoretical knowledge is amalga-
mated with its plant level actual
implementation and that is
achieved through industrial visits.
I am confident that as IPEC ECE
continues in its strategic direction
as a field leader, even bigger suc-
cess will be realized in every com-
ing day. I thank all our alumni,
friends and industry partners who
provide the support that is essen-
tial to our efforts for excellence in
education and research, and as
always, do feel free to contact me
at [email protected] with
your ideas and feedback.
Dr. V.K. Gupta Professor and Chair
I am overwhelmed to yet
again present a new issue of

ECE department organized
industrial visit for 3rd year stu-
dents, 14th -15th February 2019
at Deki Electronics Noida. The
company is renowned in the
field of electronic component
manufacture for a long time.
The students visiting the com-
pany learn about manufactur-
ing of various types of capaci-
tors including electrolytic, ce-
ramic, paper, wire-wound ca-
pacitors for various applica-
tions and exported world-
wide. The state of the art auto-
matic components manufactur-
ing unit and quality control
over large volume productions
provided students useful infor-
mation. The visit provided stu-
dents an insight into industrial
practices and working environ-

seminar session on “Using Platform for
Internship and Networking” on 25th
January 2019. The session helped stu-
dents in getting to know about differ-
ent platforms available and how to use
them. The seminar provides opportuni-
ties to get internship across different
domains. It also helps students to get
access to Online International Certifica-
tion Courses which will en-
hance their skills. The session
was organized by Mohit Dubey,
IEEE student Branch Chair &
Ms. Amita Agnihotri, IEEE Stu-

The seminar commenced with the Mr. Kartik Sandilya giving the general details
about the Networking using various platforms eg. Linkedin, Internshala etc.
He shared his experience of being a part of Internshala student chapter .. . Whether

ter graduating, LinkedIn is for anybody and everybody who's interested in tak-
ing their professional life more seriously by looking for new opportunities to
grow their careers and to connect with other professionals.
You can think of as the high-tech equivalent of going to a traditional networking
event where you go and meet other professionals in person, talk a little bit about
what you do and exchange business cards. It's like one big virtual networking
event. Then, Mr. Praneet Nigam shared their experience as a part of internshala
student chapter. The Internshala provide internships for freshers as well as to

The Road Not Taken” byThe Road Not Taken” byThe Road Not Taken” byThe Road Not Taken” by Robert FrostRobert FrostRobert FrostRobert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each tomorrow
Find us farther than today.
Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.
In the world’s broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!
Trust no Future, howe’er pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act,—act in the living Present!
Heart within, and God o’erhead!

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;—
Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o’er life’s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.
We are very privileged to work in this issue of departmental newsletter. This
newsletter covers various activities like industrial visits, seminars & workshops..
Industrial Visits in the department enhance the knowledge of students so that they
can motivated towards new technologies and research areas. Workshop and
seminars were conducted for the benefit of the faculties as well as students. They
all get motivated to work further on the topics discussed in these platforms.
We sincerely hope that this edition makes for an interesting read. Please feel free
