• Learn basic beading vocabulary, tools, and techniques
• Look through various examples for recycled bead inspiration

• Using your jewelry-making knowledge and experience, design a unique, eco-friendly piece of jewelry.
• Properly research online for inspiration. You may use one of the previous techniques or come up with something entirely different!

• You will have approximately 1 week per assignment.• In that week you will:– research and plan – sketch out jewelry design– Make/find any necessary pieces– Construct jewelry with proper closures– Make additional jewelry* or begin planning next
assignment– Store all work in plastic bags in class folder– Clean up all materials by the end of each class!
How are you graded?
• Each assignment is worth 80 points…
• 20 points per category• The EYE – balanced, aesthetically pleasing• The HAND - neatly made, well-crafted• The BRAIN- creative/unique, well-planned• The HEART –appropriate use of class time
