Can we keep this going? 5th place - Class 4B - 98.33% 4th place - Class 10M - 98.61% 3rd place - Classes 3C & 3J- 99.17% 2nd place - Classes 4D & 4E - 99.44% 1st place - Classes 6D - 100% Well done 6D, absolutely fabulous Spring Term attendance. Our computer has worked out that 156 children managed 100% attendance throughout the whole of the spring term. This is 42% of the whole school. Very proud of each and every one of them. They will all be bringing home their certificates this evening. Have a super weekend. Mr R Another week draws to a close and the children have been incredibly busy. It is that time of year where I start to plan for the future of school, getting staffing in place and ensuring that we keep to the forefront of educational issues. A truly busy time. Residentials Places are beginning to fill up and by the original deposit deadline it will have been 4 weeks notice. Our residential experiences are never intended to be financially exclusive. I want everyone to have the opportunity to attend and that is why I ensure that the school subsidise them so heavily and put finance plans in to place for families to pay over a longer period of time. If you want your child to attend and want to talk about financial plans, please come in to school. We can help! Polling Day A reminder that this Thursday, 7th May, the Juniors will be open for school even though it is polling day. Newsletter Correction I think I had a senior moment last week. I managed to invent a new class. On the dates section I put that on the 22.5 Class 3E will have their Class Assembly, total rubbish from Mr R, it should have said Class 3J. Apologies. Sporting News Netball - Another game against Yardley this time. Whilst we weren't triumphant, the spirit in which our girls played is to be highly commended. (need to search the internet for a medieval rack, a little stretching will help) Football - Just the one fixture this week, Brownmead away. An unusual 0 - 0 draw for us, leaves us second in the league but with two games in hand and only 5 points behind. #fighttotheend A Gift Because everyone has worked so hard, I have decided to extend the weekend and give everyone Monday off. Enjoy! See you all Tuesday morning :)) Key dates 4.5 - School Closed - May Day 8.5 - 3M Class Assembly 11.5 - 14.5 - Y6 SATs week 13.5 - 4B visit to Edgbaston 15.5 - 3C Class Assembly 18.5/19.5 - Y6 Language Alive 19.5 - Y5 Drayton Manor 22.5 - 3JClass Assembly Lyndon Green Junior School
