    This application form is the correct one to use if you want to enroll in the 2012 academic year as a freshman. If you are applying for any other year, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Applications for transfer, re-admit, and cross-campus transfer students can be found online at www.admissions.umich.edu.

    The University of Michigan uses The Common Application exclusively. In order to be considered for freshman admission, the following items are required:

    You can check your status online once we have received your application by creating a friend account at http://wolverineaccess.umich.edu; however, keep in mind that it does take at least 2 weeks to process your application and other supporting documents.     The Residential College (RC) is a four-year liberal arts program within LSA, featuring small classes, close contact with faculty and staff, highly regarded foreign language training, and a cross-disciplinary curriculum. RC students enjoy the best of both worlds: they pursue academic study in a wide range of LSA programs and departments, while remaining grounded in a close-knit learning community in East Quadrangle on central campus. The admissions requirements, application procedures and deadlines for RC are the same as LSA. RC students can pursue a dual degree with the School of Art & Design.     CAMPUS SAFETY STATEMENT Each year, the University of Michigan prepares an Annual Security Report and publishes it in the Campus Safety Handbook. The report, which is issued each October 1, contains detailed information on campus safety and security policies, procedures, and programs, including information on: emergency services, security telephone numbers, sexual assault policy, stalking laws, handling obscene phone calls, sexual harassment policy, dealing with workplace violence and threats, police agencies, health services, counseling services, safe transportation after dark, safety tips, and alcohol and drug policies and programs. The report also includes statistics concerning crimes on campus.
