OBJECTIVES
The Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA) offers teaching staff the opportunity to spend a period
teaching at a Higher Education Institution in one of the countries participating in the Erasmus+
programme with the aim of:
• offering teaching staff an occasion to update their job skills and grow professionally;
• promoting the exchange of competencies and experiences on teaching methods.

ELEGIBLE CANDIDATES
The following categories of teaching staff are eligible for the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility:
1. full professors;
2. associate professors;
3. short-term contract professors;
4. researchers;
The member of staff must currently be under contract to Unict at the time of the call deadline and of their Staff mobility for
Teaching Assignment.
They can submit application choosing into the list of the agreements for the related department
ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES
Period of teaching abroad in the framework of the teaching agreement with the host institution. Didactic activities should be
offered as part of courses integrated into the curriculum of the host institution.

ERASMUS+ STAFF MOBILITY: CHALLENGE-BASED APPROACHES
Mobility grants are exclusively awarded to staff wishing to spend a period teaching abroad as part of a mobility
programme drawn up between institutions that are holders of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE).
Every year the Call defines the requirements for the selection of the applications.
The duration ranges from:
a minimum of 2 consecutive working days (excluding travel – maximum 2 days), with a minimum of 8 hours of
lessons in total;
to a maximum of 7 days (2 travel days and 5/6 days of teaching activity).
The allowance is calculated on the basis of the tables described in the Call.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
Invitation/acceptance letter
It is an application selection tool: contains many elements that will be
used by the selection board to attribute scores (from 1 to 4 points for each
criteria ) on the basis of the criteria defined in the call and assign grants.
It is an obligatory document ( if missing it’s not possible to conclude the
application process), as it defines the content of the teaching activity
agreed with the host university.

Application form online
It is a tool for selecting applications and for give to the applicant scores on the basis of the evaluation grid and to
assign STA mobility grant.
It is the only way to submit applications.
Allows to specify the information required in an easy, fast and intuitive way, limiting the possibility of making
mistakes.
Permits to verify, through the obligatory information:
• the coherence of the activity carried out abroad with the job carried out by the candidate;
• the compatibility with the content of the teaching activity agreed with the host institution and defined in the
invitation/acceptance letter.

Evaluation criteria
• Using for the attribution of the score and the consequent
drafting of the rankings for the assignment of the STA mobility
grants
• Indicators of the quality of the educational activity carried out
abroad.
In the assignment of an STA mobility will be awarded a higher
score:
• activities in which the teaching period of the teacher will be an
integral part of the curriculum of the host university;
• the duration of the teaching activity – without interruption;
• those who are already involved in the Erasmus+ programme -
to consolidate and extend relations between universities;
• staff who are invited/accepted for the first time to undertake a
period of teaching abroad
