UNIVERSAL STUDIOS/ ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE

GROUPS• You are able to select your own group of

10 by May 1st • Need student’s name and cell phone

number• You DO NOT select your chaperone• You DO NOT select your bus• If you do not select a bus by May 1st, you

will be placed in a bus at random

TRIP ITINERARY• 5:00am Meet at Somerset• 5:30am Load Busses/ Depart from Somerset• 8:30am Breakfast/Restroom Break (Ft. Drum)• 10:30am Arrive at Universal Studios• 10:30am -6:00pm Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure• 6:30pm Depart from Universal Studios• 8:00pm Dinner/Restroom Break (Ft. Drum)• 12:00am Arrive at Somerset

RULES• MUST STAY WITH ASSIGNED CHAPERONE AT ALL

TIMES!• MUST STAY WITH YOUR GROUP AT ALL TIMES!• NO CHANGING OF BUSES!• MUST WEAR CLASS SHIRT AT ALL TIMES!• CANNOT ALTER CLASS SHIRT!

(NO CUTTING,SHREDDING , DECORATING, FRINGING, ETC)• NO BACKPACKS!! No matter the size!• Purses can be no larger than a half sheet of paper• Snacks can be brought in a clear, plastic ziplock bag• NO open liquid containers prior to boarding the bus

RULES• NO Medications! Unless you have administrative

approval and medical form on file• All personal belongings will be subject to search by

school personnel and/or appropriate authorities at any time while on the trip

• NO Blankets/Pillows! May bring a jacket• All electronic devices such as cell phones, iPods, personal

game systems, etc. must have a headphone attachment for individual use

• May bring PG-13 movies• Dress code will be STRICTLY ENFORCED…if you must ask

if it’s appropriate then DON’T wear it!

RULES• Any item that is brought on the trip, is the SOLE

responsibility of the student. Somerset Academy and/or the bus company are NOT responsible for the loss or theft of any item

• Bring enough money for: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, snacks and any souvenirs (min. $50)

• Be aware if you get into any trouble while on the trip, your parents will be immediately contacted and will have to pick you up from Universal Studios. You will also have severe consequences at school!

DRESS CODE: GIRLS• 2015 Purple, 8th Grade Class Shirt (DO NOT ALTER THE SHIRT)• Casual pants/jeans (NO sweatpants)• Shorts (mid-thigh) (NO basketball shorts)• Comfortable shoes (sneakers, dress

sandals, boots)• Purses no larger than 8.5” x 5.5” (size of a

half-sheet of paper)• Cell phones and cameras (no camera

bags)

DRESS CODE: GUYS• 2015 Purple, 8th Grade Class Shirt (DO NOT ALTER THE SHIRT)• Casual pants or shorts (including khakis and jeans) secured at the waist (NO basketball shorts)• Comfortable shoes (sneakers, dress shoes, boots)• Cell phones and cameras (no camera bags)

NOT ACCEPTABLE!• Flip-Flops• Visible undergarments• Clothing with visible tears, holes, and shredding• Belts, wallet chains, or jewelry of any kind containing

spikes• Extremely revealing clothing including: bathing suit

tops, bottoms, or see-through clothing of any kind• Any clothing deemed inappropriate at a school

function• Guys may not wear tank tops or undershirts

NOT ACCEPTABLE!• Guys and girls may not wear basketball shorts of any kind• All backpacks, briefcases, hip packs, camera bags, tote bags, and

oversized purses larger than 8.5" x 5.5"• Weapons, knives, laser pointers, and chemical irritants of any kind• Over-the-counter medications; tobacco or tobacco related products

such as lighters, matches, pipes, hooka pens, etc.; and alcohol or any controlled substance

• Any containers with fluids of any kind; this includes water, any drinks and perfumes

• Aerosol cans/bottles of any type

REMINDERS• Must come dressed to school in trip attire! (Class shirt

and jeans/shorts) NO Exceptions!• If you are not dressed appropriately, you will NOT go on

the bus!• Bring money for food and souvenirs (at least $50)• Must maintain the bus clean at all times! • You are allowed to bring snacks in clear, plastic ziplock

bags. All liquids must be in sealed containers prior to inspection…if opened it will be thrown out!

• 8th Graders…stay classy! You are representing Somerset Academy!
