    How will clients and members beneft rom this change?

    We are condent that our broad and diverse assets will deliver greater value, increased eciencies and lowercosts or those we serve, creating a unique ofering in the PBM market. Some o the new benets that clients and

    members will enjoy include:

    Call center experience:When members call, our representatives provide one call support or both medical and

    pharmacy questions with direct access to pharmacists. Weve added pharmacy tools and trained our staf,

    so our team can provide a better member experience with end-to-end resolution and the ability to provideproactive support.

    Online and mobile capabilities: Members will experience simpler

    navigation, new eatures and the same url or myuhc.com. New

    eatures will include a visual image o all mail service drugs, targeted

    emails through My Message Inbox (including savings messaging),

    and member-specic clinical and program inormation. Te mobile

    experience will also improve with the ability to do easy mail service

    rells, see order history, view My Prescription Drug List, nd a

    pharmacy, use medication cost comparisons and set up prescription

    text reminders.

    Claims processing: 100% o claims are evaluated by our proprietaryReal ime Audit program, an important rst line o deense to

    identiy potential cases o prescription raud, waste and abuse.

    Mail service: Members will have access to state-o-the-art mail

    service and award-winning customer service through OptumRx.

    Ater members move to OptumRx, they can ll prescriptions through

    website, phone, ax or mail. Tey will also automatically receive a rell

    reminder by email, letter or call when they have utilized 75 percent o

    their current prescription and have rells available.

    Specialty claims:OptumRx currently provides specialty pharmacy

    services or UnitedHealthcare members. Members who are already engaged with OptumRx on specialty will

    continue to have access to their pharmacist/nurse.

    Does OptumRx have the capacity and capabilities to handle this business?

    Absolutely. OptumRx is already one o the countrys largest PBMs with capabilities equal to any in the industry.

    oday, OptumRx manages $22 billion o UnitedHealth Groups enterprise-wide $32 billion in annual drug spend.

    In 2012, OptumRx is investing an additional $115 million to continue to increase the scale o its platorms,

    operations and technology capabilities. And the company continues to invest in its inrastructure and expand its

    capacity, so we are ully prepared to make this transition successul.

    Claims processing:Since being acquired by UnitedHealth Group in 2005, OptumRx has experienced

    signicant growth, having processed 370 million adjusted prescriptions in 2011. Medco currently processes

    less than 130 million pharmacy claims or UnitedHealthcare commercial members. Te additional claims can

    be comortably added to the existing OptumRx system. Members and physicians should also expect a aster

    prior authorization process ater the transition to OptumRx, beneting rom our new online, real-time priorauthorization system.

    Mail service:We have expanded our state-o-the-art mail service acilities to prepare or the anticipated

    volume o mail service prescriptions transitioning rom Medco. Te new anticipated volume will remain below

    OptumRx operating capacity.

    Call centers:OptumRx currently operates six call centers stafed by more than 1,900 customer service

    advocates and pharmacists. Customer service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Quarter ater quarter,

    our OptumRx Call Center Net Promoter Score which measures whether members would recommend us

    to riends and amily ranks us with best-in-class companies nationally. For more inormation on OptumRx,
