Today we celebrate the baptism of Neha Kumar during the 9:30 worship service. Please stop in the Parlor this morning to sign greeting cards for our home-bound members: Jane Dessem, Ruth Gottschling, Doris Reinberger, and Willie Thomas. Many Voices – One Faith: The last small group listening session will be held this evening (Sunday, August 11) in the Great Hall starting at 7 pm. Hard copies of The Chimes newsletter will no longer be mailed but will be made available at the church. This is to help reduce the cost of printing and mailing as well as the impact on our environment. If you are local, we invite you to view The Chimes online at cotsumc.org/chimes/ or pick up your hard copy outside the church office the next time you're here. We also encourage members to hand-deliver The Chimes to homebound members who would appreciate a visit. If you would like to continue to receive a hard copy in the mail, please notify the church office. Thank you for helping Church of the Saviour be good stewards of our finances and the environment. The next issue will be available August 18. Blessing of the Backpacks: At the start of each new school year, Church of the Saviour invites all students to bring their backpacks with them to worship for a blessing of the backpacks. On Sunday, August 18, we will offer a special time of prayer during worship to offer encouragement to excited students, offer comfort to anxious students, and to remind all students that God's love and the support of the congregation will be with them through the school year. Church Women United is collecting cookies for the local USO. Store bought cookies are ideal

because they stay fresh longer. Please bring your donation to the church office by August 21.

School Supply Donations: UMW is collecting school supplies to help the teachers in our congregation who work in Cleveland and East Cleveland. Suggested supplies include: #2 pencils, lined notebook paper, rulers, crayons, manila art paper, white art paper, 1.5 inch three-ring binders, glue sticks, pencil cases, highlighters, colored pencils, graph paper (1/4”), spiral notebooks, pocket folders, #20 weight copy paper, multi-colored construction paper, and composition books. You may also write a check, payable to Church of the Saviour, with “school supplies” in the memo line, and we will do the shopping. Please bring your donations to room 122 by Sunday, August 18. Thank you. Mark your calendars - Fall Launch is September 8.
