R O H N E R T PA R KRohnert Park is the family-friendly gateway city to Sonoma County’s Wine Country. Located in Sonoma County’s southern central plain with 42,000 residents, Rohnert Park is the county’s third largest city.

Rohnert Park has the third-highest employed population among comparable Sonoma County cities, and has a rate higher than the county (49%), the state (46%), and the nation (47%). Breaking down employment by industry, half of workers in Rohnert Park are employed in the Services industry at 50%, followed by 16% employed in Retail Trade and 7% in Manufacturing. Rohnert Park compares with Sonoma County as having 4.3% more Retail Trade, but has 1.9% fewer workers in Construction and Manufacturing.

Rohnert Park’s population grew to 43,435 in 2017, and is projected to reach 45,180 in 2022. This five-year growth projection is the fourth-fastest of Sonoma County’s nine incorporated cities, at 4%. The city’s median age in 2017 was 34.2, the youngest in the county.

Five-year projections predict that the city’s median household income will grow by 6.8% to $64,219 in 2022. Total taxable sales in Rohnert Park grew by 3.2% to $626.9 million, the third-highest total sales in the county.Rohnert Park is situated smack in the middle of the North Bay.
