Steps to graphing an inequality

1. Write the equation in slope­intercept form (y=   )

2. Decide if the line should be solid or dotted

3. Graph the y­intercept and then the slope

4. Shade above or below the line (depending if it is greater than or less than)

The solution is the set of all the points in the shaded area and the points on the solid line.
