1.You should not go rafting unless you know how to swim,and you should always wear a life jacket.Unless “ 除非，如果不”引导条件状语从句。一般可以与 if…not 互换 Unless 引导的从句多用肯定式，因为 unless 本身就含有 if not 的意思。在大多数情况下可用 if not 来取代。

如： The classroom will remain dirty unless

you clean it.=The classroom will remain dirty if you don’t clean it. 但在下面句子里， unless 后面接了否定式，这时的意思是“除非在… .情况下‘，并且不可用 if not 来取代 . 。如：

Don’t borrow money from him unless you can’t borrow any from someone else.

在由 If,unless,as soon as,when 等引导的时间，条件或让步状语从句中要用一般现在时代替一般将来时。如：I don’t know when he will come.But when he comes,please tell him the news.
