• Read the prompt “Unpacking Embedded Assessment 2” at the bottom of page 128. In your spiral, summarize in your own words what you will need to know to complete this assessment successfully.

• Read #2 on page 129 and the “Sample Style Analysis Essay” by Edgar Allan Poe. Highlight/mark details that describe Poe’s style
• Discuss Poe’s style with a partner. Answer #3 on page 130 addressing these stylistic characteristics: subject matter, diction and syntax, imagery, point of view, and tone.
