RITOS INICIALES“La finalidad de estos ritos es hacer que los fieles reunidos constituyan una comunidad, y se dispongan a oír como conviene la Palabra de Dios y a celebrar dignamente la Eucaristía” (IGMR, núm. 46).
Canto de entrada de pie
Terminado el canto de entrada, el sacerdote y los fieles se santiguan con la señal de la cruz.
Saludo
En el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo.Amén.
El sacerdote, extendiendo las manos, saluda al pueblo, diciendo:
La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el amor del Padre y la comunión del Espíritu Santo estén con todos ustedes.

From time to time on Sundays, there may be a blessing and sprinkling of holy water to recall Baptism. This replaces the Penitential Act below. During the sprinkling, the following or another suitable antiphon is sung.
Continue with the “Gloria,” page 8, except on Sundays of Advent, Ash Wednesday, and Sundays of Lent.
